I spend my days
on hate and mymoney
onwastedtime
sick of this town
losten route
a death mask
madeofplaster cast
to the visage
of independence
kept down
bycircumstance,
a starcrossed lover
jaywalking,
blindfolded.

chew lightbulbs in the morning
rolling on skateboardwheels
thinking about you
no matter how hard I try
not tostare at the sun
I can't look away.
blinding brilliant burnout kids
with bad habits
and selfdestructive tendencies
fighttheirenemies.

The post-it notes uncurled over time.
The remnants adhered to the
insides of dead yellow
soldiers
on the great beige, low pile, battlefield.
Everything I own is
now covered
in a fine layer
of psychedelic neon
snowfall.
Oranges, blues, pinks,
off-whites.
prescriptions, quick fixes.
Band aids over bullet holes.
Hold that mirror up to your face
a little longer,
maybe you'll notice
your reflection,
and gain a new perspective,
trying to read between the lines.

Lead Paint Popsicles

I'm gonna bang my head
around til my teeth hurt.
Its going to get real manic soon.
All my fingers twisting.
And the chemicals in my
brain firing off like
bootleg bottlerockets.

I have easy internet access and you don't so I'm posting poems without your permission....sorry

The Length of a Day
Ups and downs
and the pros
and cons of
living a life
of constant demolition
and
construction
implosion and
explosion personal
and private
sometimes
you have
to cut down
dead trees
so that
the living may grow.
It is a sign
of how things
can change,
in beautiful
new ways
that will
both terrify
and amaze upon
closer inspection
it is just
like our problems.
Constantly
changing and
yet static
like a television
stuck between
channels of
communication.
Forever mixing
conflicting signals
from satellites
signiying the expansion
of conceptual
information
that has no
bearing upon
how
you should
really live
your life
because you are going
to die
but these words
which don't
exist will
out last
me

and

you

and

everybody...

Hi

We will make something
out of everything,
stars and shadows
sticks and stones.
Together, you and I
we will build cities
of our own.
